If it is a touch of the quiet life you are looking for, or a place to stay while you explore Taranaki, give us a call. You will be comfortable in your our own self contained 3 bedroom cottage. It sleeps 6: 1 double bed, 2 single beds, and 2 bunks. We provide sheets, blankets, towels, electric blankets on all beds, oil heaters in each room, washing machine, TV, fully equipped kitchen (microwave and oven ) and a gas BBQ. This cottage is located in a quiet valley on our rolling 10 acre farmlet. We are just 5 mins from New Plymouth.
There is a games room (table tennis, a small pool table, building blocks ) at one end of the wool shed (50 metres from the cottage). Chooks, ducks, sheep and rabbits roam the land, as you are free to do. Bring your gumboots if you have them. There is a small bush block and a pond. The birds and animals are fed most days. If you want to feed the chooks and collect the eggs, you can have fresh eggs for breakfast YES!!!!!!! We have some sheep that are a bit special. They are Hampshires, a breed that comes from Hampshire Downs in England. They are a large sheep with a gentle nature. We also run Romney ewes
There is lots to do in and around New Plymouth: a mountain to explore, lots of history to be part of, walkways with sights to see, water to swim in , beaches to play on, boats to sail in, sunsets to enjoy, cafes and good food, surrounded by shops. It is a place with something for everyone.
