Frogs have long been observed in Pukekura Park. Here we discuss the kinds you may hear or see, and discuss the monitoring work done by 60 Springs.
In 2008 two classes of Devon Intermediate Students carried out preliminary surveys of frogs between June and December in Pukekura Park. As a part of their findings they developed a video and an educational flyer which can viewed below. Alongside the students surveys a longer-term frog monitoring project was established by 60Springs environmental educator Nathan Hills. The findings of this ongoing research can also be viewed below.
