Animals that tend to creep and crawl are often given the nick name of creepy crawlies. A more sceintific name for these animals are invertebrates. Invertebrates are animals without back bones that have jointed legs and many body segments. Some of the more well known invertebrates include insects (6 legs), spiders (8 legs) and crustaceans (10 legs).
A number of schools have been researching a variety of invertebrates in the park since 2008. Invertebrates studied so far include glow worms and freshwater crayfish (a crustacean).
